If there were enhanced students around me, I would feel that it's unfair. Only rich parents can "make" enhanced children. This means that ability differences such as academic ability, appearance and physical ability, will be the same as the rich-poor gap. If this happens, poor people will never be able to become rich. Thus I feel it's not fair to make enhanced students.
You are absolutely right, and this problem will most certainly occur. The reality may be somewhat different from the scenario described in the book, but something like it is bound to happen. Such things are being worked on even now.
返信削除What do you say if everyone can choose to be one of the "enhanced" ones ?
返信削除I agree with your point but I think even today there are some rich people who can cure a certain disease by receiving expensive treatment while some poor people cannot. Or some rich people's children can go to good schools and receive good education while some poor people cannot. What do you think about this current situation?
返信削除kazuya: If everyone could choose to be enhanced, there will be no ability gap. This sounds good because everyone would have a chance to be rich. However, we will never enjoy the Olympic games
返信削除and I wouldn't like that.
chaki: I think these unequal situations that comes from rich-poor gaps shouldn't happen. If we make enhanced people, this gap would be even bigger.
